Smef is a dream elemental from the shadowrun universe.
His memories and powers include:

- Travel to and from the Physical plane. His native home being the astral plane, a place of feeling, emotion, and magic.
He vaguely remembers traveling the length and breadth of the Earth, from Uluru to Mt. Ranier to Stonehenge and more, to put stop to a malevolent magic ritual, the details of which are forgotten.

- The ability to make a Pact of Friendship. Each willing participant in the Pact grants him additional foothold in the physical realm. His friend also gains the ability to gift Smef a small portion of their Karma, their future fortune and luck, in return for magical healing. Smef remembers the time Megaton, Cleetus, was on the verge of death and used the gift of the Pact to heal his grievous injuries.

- The ability to shapeshift into mundane animals. Typical choices are a Black Cat, Crow, Scorpion, Cobra, Hyena, though others are possible.
